Collaborative Project with Brenna
Written by Michelle Zany
For the collaborative project, Brenna and I decided to do an alternative process called Ziatype, a process that is similar to Platinum/ Palladium printing. It uses lithium palladium chloride (lithium chloropallidite) as the primary metal and ammonium ferric oxalate for the iron compound to produce a continuous tone print.
The color and contrast are controlled chemically, unlike other Pizzighelli processes where color and contrast are controlled by humidity
Also we are going to emulate Michael Wolf's Tokyo Subway series.
