"Shower" has a great light source. It draws the eye first to the curtain, up the rod, over to the towel, to the shampoo, and tub. The light also helps the viewer see the detail in the brown towel perfectly.
"7pm: My sister" is the picture I am most attracted to. I've seen a few portraits she's done of her sister over the past two semesters, and they make great models. I think there's just such a dynamic expression on her face. It's a little too blue in some areas, but I think the portrait is perfect.
The 12am kitchen fan shot really intrigues me. It almost looks like a flower to me. Which then leads to an interesting mix between domestic/electronic and natural subjects.
"west end bus" like how easily the eye can bounce around from the variety of tones in the blues that mimic the silver metallics in the beams. the reflection in the mirror adds another sense of dimension to the image as well as elongating the bus. also the scenery of the what is going outside relates to the emptiness within the bus; eery and being alone in a way
I really like the Walgreens photos and think you could do a series on them. Especially since you work there, you would be able to get a behind the scenes look. It could be an interesting idea.
"3 pm: leaving campus" is a really interesting photograph. It looks like it was taken with a holga camera or old color film. I like the color effect and the silhouetted landscape.
I really like the "My sister" photo the best. I love her expression on her face. and how the picture is very "carefree" . Its not set up or anything.
I really like the picture from 11pm with the little baby and the woman. I like the expression on the woman's face and how the baby is reacting to it. I think that it shows a general happy moment. I also like how you can tell the baby is moving, because I know how hard it can be to get kids to sit still. I don't think the movement takes away from the photo.
The photo "7 pm: Stephanie" is nice because "Stephanie" seems like she was trying to act like the camera was not there. but failed.
I really liked the wedding gifts photo. the composition was simple and interesting and it left me wanting to know more about that wedding...black and red seems like an interesting color scheme for a wedding
the 8pm, leaving work shot was my favorite. i think it captures the experience of shopping in a pharmacy, the long aisle of stuff. also nice use of short depth of field. its looks a little bit out of focus though
my favorite picture is "Babies". I love the little one, sort of looming in the front, with the older sister hovering in the background. The first time I saw this picture I though that the little baby was a doll, but a few pictures down I realized that she is a real baby, which is why I love this picture.
10 am: west end bus
I enjoy this image for the fact it reminds me of an old Polaroid.
great job with composition and creativity!
12:00 am kitchen is my favorite photo! I like the way the blades of the fan are moving. some seem still and others are a blur which makes nice texture. The shadows are great.
"10am: west end bus" this photo could have been so cliche but the way you angled the photo by only including half of the bus and how the verticals of the tress outside repeat in shape throughout the interior make this photo much more original.. the lighting also works really well
